The Kumulus Project: 5,000 Unique Cloud-Themed NFTs Combine Art With Ocean Preservation

Kumulus

– A cumulus develops at a maximum height of 5000 ft. There will only ever be 5000 unique Kumulus. –

The Kumulus project, inspired by a type of cloud called cumulus clouds, is an NFT project that will drop a unique themed NFT series on Tezos. Additionally, 30% of all primary sale proceeds will go to NGO’s helping to preserve water.

The NFT’s are cloud-themed images. The 5,000 pieces are unique and ranked by rarity. There are 21 atmospheres, which refers to the universes in which the clouds are made.

“We have several atmospheres that bring a level of rarity to each cloud (for example Sunset, Aurora, Originals, Radioactive etc…) along with other traits like flying objects, hidden messages… and more!”

The artwork is designed and created by the French artist Antonin Brousse. As an artist that likes to explore different disciplines, he got intrigued by the new possibilities that NFTs offer.

He wanted to start an NFT project but got put off by the potential environmental impact.

After digging a little more he stumbled upon Tezos and got inspired to start the Kumulus project. Tezos fits perfectly into his philosophy and enabled him to use his artistic abilities for a good purpose.

Living by the Mediterranean sea and watching it every day getting negatively impacted by human activity, Antonin wanted to do his part. He created Kumulus to raise awareness on the disruption of the water cycle and the increasing pollution in our oceans.

He was committed to use his artistic abilities to raise funds for the most efficient NGOs.

The Tezos blockchain is the blockchain with one of the lowest energy usage due to its efficient LPoS consensus mechanism. Minting an NFT costs about as much energy as sending a tweet.

Adding to a good cause

After asking for suggestions from the community, the following NGO’s are on the list of candidates:

– Sea Shepherds https://seashepherd.org/

– Surf Riders https://www.surfrider.org/

– Oceanic Preservation Society https://www.opsociety.org/

– The Ocean Cleanup https://theoceancleanup.com/

After the Kumulus Project goes live, the community will be able to decide which organization will receive the funding.

OBJKT.com

The Kumulus Project announced a partnership with OBJKT.com, https://objkt.com a Tezos-based NFT platform that allows users to collect, trade and auction NFT’s from several Tezos-based NFT platforms.

OBJKT.com currently supports NFT’s from Bazaar Market, Hic et Nunc, Interpop, Kalamint, PRJKTNEON, Tezzards, Tezos Domains, TZColors and PRJKTNEON FILES.

The Kumulus Project will join that list soon. The whole collection will be tradable right after the drop on the 12th of October at 20:00 UTC.
