The Cult & Coven: Witchez And Demons – A New NFT Game Being Built On Tezos

Witchez

The Cult & The Coven is an NFT game that is being built on Tezos. It’s an elaborated strategic card game where unique characters can be equipped with spells, weapons and artifacts to increase power levels.

The main characters of the game are a series of generative NFT characters with different scarcity levels. There are two opponent character lines that will battle each other: Witchez and Demons.

Winners of battles will receive loot boxes that contain items that can be used to power up characters or that can be sold on the secondary market.

With the demon-summoning Order of the Dark Wheel stepping out from the shadows to bring about the end of the world, the balance of the universe has been upset. With more and more portals to the Dark Abyss opening, and the forces of evil growing stronger, the only hope for the earth is to raise an army strong enough to drive the demons back into their own bleak dimension.

Enter the Witchez, powerful enchantresses who serve the primal gods of the planet and can wield the ancient magics of the world. These enlightened women have long been misunderstood and persecuted by society and only Summoning Sigils can prove our repentance and draw these Witchez out from the darkest corners of the earth.

The Witchez can be minted as we speak and the Demons will be launched in a later stage. Witchez have a base combat value of 7, and start at Power Level 1. Demons have a base combat level that is randomized by their power Level.

For both Witchez and Demons the exact Combat value will be hidden for the opponent, which opens one of the strategic components of the game.

Gameplay

The exact gameplay will be revealed in a later stage, but players will be able to equip their characters with: Spells, Weapons, Artifacts and Familiars/ Thralls .

Other components of the game will be actions and craftables:

Actions:

– Produce spells that (when equipped) can affect combat value, loot drop percentage, cooldown and the rate of mana/soul production.

– Potions which work like spells, but don’t take up a spell slot and can be used out of

combat. Potions are weaker than spells, but might have longer duration and persist through multiple combats.

– Rituals which are more powerful spells to summon Familiars/ Thralls.

Craftables:

– Scrolls which allow spells to be cast, and allow for rituals to be completed.

– Recipes which allow potions to be crafted

– Grimoires which allow for artifacts and weapons to be crafted

In-game currency

To perform actions in the game, you will need an in-game currency. You earn that currency by owning either Witchez or Demons. You can also buy extra tokens. For Witchez the currency is called Mana, and for Demons the currency is called Souls.
