Taezars – Educating Users On Ancient Rome Through Digital Collectible Roman Coin 3D Models, PFPs And More

Taezars

Taezars is a new project on the Tezos Blockchain launched in October, 2022 with the aim of educating users on ancient Rome through digital collectible Roman coins 3D models, PFPs, and many other features that will be added in the coming months.

Collectibles

For launch date, TAEZARS released Volume 1 of the collection titled The Twelve Caesars which consists of more than 260 carefully crafted tokenized 3D models of authentic and historically accurate Roman denarius which users can mint or combine to complete the full collection.

These tokens can be traded with other users on the Taezars Market or in secondary markets like objkt.com.

To incentive collectors –as if owning these incredible and unique pieces of art wasn’t enough– Taezars created the Aerarium Saturni which started at 1,000 XTZ and grows by accumulating 10% of the cost of all mints and claims that users make in the Taezars main smart contract through the Taezars Dapp.

The Aerarium Saturni can be claimed by the first collector that gets all the exclusive Aureus (gold denarius) for each of the twelve caesars (programmatically limited to 10 editions for each of the 12 emperors).

The caesars aureus can be obtained by completing the learning experience of the Cursus Honorum for each of the twelve caesars and by getting the related legionary aureus which can only be minted or traded in the market (these are only limited by the low probability of minting one).

The collectors who are lucky enough to mint legionary aureus coins are featured on the main Mint page in the Notable Mints section.

Throughout 2023, the collection will be expanded with Volume 2 which is dedicated to The Good Emperors and which will feature tokenized denarius of Nerva, Trajan, Hadrian, Antoninus Pius, Marcus Aurelius, and Comodo.

PFPs

Along with numismatic collecting and learning, Taezars could not forget about one of the NFT collectors’ favorites and has created a series of more than 125 PFPs of all the caesars included in the first volume of the collection, representing each of the 12 caesars in a cartoonish style, from Julius Caesar to Domitian.

The Taezars PFPs collection also includes exclusive NFTs that refer to the most characteristic Latin phrase of each of them and some special PFPs related to historical events that occurred during the government of some of them such as the eruption of Vesuvius, the fire of Rome, the construction of the Colosseum or the assassination of Julius Caesar.

These collectible PFPs will also be useful for the new features that will be added to the project over time since Taezars is a project in continuous expansion.

The PFP collection can be found on secondary on Objkt.com here.

Games

Taezars also includes and will be adding some of the most popular ancient Rome games starting with Tesserae, which was probably the most popular game among Roman games for adults.

Among the Greeks it was mainly a pastime of the upper classes, but in Rome its extension was much greater, reaching gambling houses, professional players and it is even known that many emperors who loved gambling and betting were also fond of gambling with roman dice.
