Join The Acurast Webinar This Thursday And Find Out Why You Should Consider Becoming A Data Transmitter

The Acurast Data Transmitter Webinar

Acurast is a data oracle that provides off-chain data for on-chain applications on the Tezos blockchain.

The most common data to be used are price feeds for DeFi applications, but any type of data can be provided for any type of use case.

To be able to supply the requested data in a trustless manner, Acurast needs data transmitters.

Acurast Data Transmitters are the processors of data and computation in a trusted execution environment on their hardware and earn rewards from the developers for successfully executing Jobs.”

Data transmitters are the crucial link between the outside world and the decentralized web 3 space on blockchain. On Acurast, anyone can become a data transmitter.

The incentive to become a data transmitter is the fact that data consumers pay rewards to the data transmitters that they receive data from.

To make it easy to find the right data transmitter, a marketplace is created. This will launch in Q1 of 2023.

The marketplace is designed to be a safe and secure space for transmitters and developers. Developers can create job based on their needs, add rewards and find a data transmitter to execute.

There will be a rating system in place on the marketplace: data consumers are allowed to rate their experience with data transmitters.

This way developers can make an educated decision when choosing the right data transmitter for their dApp.

The hardware needed to become a data transmitter is an Android Powered device like Google Pixel or Samsung Galaxy Note, more info here.

This device will then function as a dedicated device specifically as Acurast data transmitter.

Setting up the application is pretty simple: just download the app, self-onboard and advertise your capacity on the Acurast marketplace.
