GK8

GK8 is an institutional-grade cyber security firm who offer cryptocurrency cold vault solutions to their clients. GK8 was created by cyber security experts in Israel and has $10 billion in assets managed by their clients, which includes the trading giant eToro.

The company was selected by Mastercard to join its Start Path program in the summer of 21.

The firm has a patented undirectional solution where it is possible to create, sign and send blockchain transactions with no internet connection.

GK8 Adds Tezos Support

Now, GK8 has recently announced it will support the Tezos blockchain using a grant from the Tezos Foundation.

It was stated: GK8 will now aid in the development of critical infrastructure of the wider Tezos ecosystem.

The supporting solution comes with validation in the form of a Soc2 type 2 certification from the Big 4 accounting firm Ernst & Young. It enables the secure tokenization of traditional assets such as real estate and also supports NFTs.

Lior Lamesh, Co-founder and CEO, GK8, said:

“High security and scalability are crucial for mainstream blockchain adoption. Tezos brings those features to the table, and we are thrilled to be expanding support to their network.

We look forward to delving deeper into the bustling Tezos ecosystem”.

Roman Schnider, Head of Operations of Tezos Foundation, added:

“GK8 brings to the table a great combination of security, professionalism, and the ability to safely store crypto-assets secured by true Cold Vault and an MPC setup that allows access to on-chain applications.

It is an important building block for institutional interactions with the fast-growing number of DApps on Tezos”.
