Indonesian National Newspaper Harian Kompas Mints 57 Of Its Most Aesthetically Striking Photos On Tezos

Harian Kompas

Kompas has the largest circulation of any newspaper in southeast Asia.  With an average of half a million printed editions distributed per day and the digital paper included, Indonesia’s leading newspapers reaches about 3.8 million readers across the archipelago.

Today, it was announced that the Harian Kompas will mint 57 of its most aesthetically striking photos on Tezos for their Loka/Masa NFT series.

The series will contain photos from each year since Harian Kompas was founded in 1965. The NFT’s will have a total supply of 3,249 and are released in the period from September to December this year.

The first part of the series is already live on OBJKT.com here.

The NFT’s are affordably priced at 1 XTZ per piece, with 57 editions per NFT.

We pride ourselves on having some of the most talented photographers in Indonesia, and we have millions of photographic assets in our archive. We’ve also noticed that Tezos has a thriving community of photographers.” – Helman Taofani

Physical benefits

An additional perk of owning Kompas NFT’s is the fact that, if acquired enough points, you can exchange your points for a physical item.

Each NFT will be worth 1 point, and the collected points may be exchanged for limited edition custom printed merchandise including postcards, T-shirts, our photography book “Untitled”, and a full-sized acrylic print of the photograph.

Each will have edition numbers printed on them, and will only be printed once.”

Exhibition in the National Museum in Jakarta

On October 28th, there will be a physical exhibition of the Loka/Masa NFT series in the National Museum in Jakarta. The audience can buy the NFT’s that are exhibited, which is a real unique feature. And of course TZ Apac, the leading blockchain adoption entity for the Tezos ecosystem in Asia, will be present too.

“The TzApac team will be at the “Loka/Masa” physical showcase, so keep your eyes peeled for some exciting updates.”
