Get Ready For NFT Gaming Platform Dogami

Dogami

NFTs are booming in ‘Cryptoland’ and a growing part of the activity is happening on Tezos. NFT’s have a lot of different use-cases which vary from digital art to fan experiences, music collectables, yield farming games, card games, and much more.

There has been a little buzz around a new NFT game on Tezos called Dogami, which is expected to enter the market at some point this year.

Dogami is a game where players can collect, play, earn and socialize. Dogami has it all: collectibles, a competitive aspect, yield farming aspects, a social aspect and a great and intuitive user interface.

The gaming features are top-notch and we predict that this game to be highly addictive (in a fun way).

They are the latest company to join PyraTzLabs, a Parisian Venture-studio focused on blockchain.

The Petaverse

Dogami is a mobile-first Cryptogame that is centered around NFT-based dog avatars. In essence, gamers can engage in four main activities in its metaverse (Petaverse): collect, play, earn, and socialize.

The overarching objective of the game is to develop the rarest and best dog in the metaverse. In order to level up the avatar, gamers need to participate in (hyper-)casual mini-games that correspond to real-life activities typically performed during different maturity stages of your dog.

For example, regularly feeding your dog; training it to become a rescue dog, or breeding new puppies.

Similar to other blockchain games, Dogami offers attractive play-to-earn mechanisms, most notably in-game play-to-earn rewards. Dogami builds on the Tezos blockchains and issues the game-native utility token ‘DOGA’.

Dog enthusiasts can participate in the game by buying a puppy (NFT) on the Dogami platform. Then, depending on the maturity of the dog, three main activities are performed in the game:

Stage 1: Raising and training your puppy

Stage 2: Specializing your dog

Stage 3: Breeding and creating offspring

Each stage will only be unlocked if the targets in the previous stage have been reached. Players need to take strategic decisions to maximize the uniqueness (i.e. rarity) of their dogs. Thereby, Dogami aims to remain engaging and challenging.

Strategic decisions include the choice of ‘training facilities’, ‘specialization’, ‘mating partners’ or ‘accessories’.

Your dog needs enough energy to play games. A full bar of energy allows you to play 5 minigames per 6 hours. The time it takes to recharge your dog’s energy depends on different factors.

For example, the more dogs you have in your kennel, the faster the energy of your dog recharges.

There’s a variety of games you can play to increase your levels. For example, catch the ball (timing game), master the parcour (skill game), Exit the maze (puzzle), Dogami Know-It-All (quiz) and Obedience competition (waiting game).

You can play certain games in single-player mode and in multiplayer mode.

DOGA tokens

You can earn DOGA tokens (up to 10 DOGA per day) and gain loyalty points that accelerate the development of your dog.

You can spend DOGA on accessories to increase the rarity of your dog, or spend it strategically to increase the skill level of your Dogami.

DOGA tokens can also be used for trading and staking or you can simply choose to sell your tokens.

Team

Always a good sign to have a public team behind a project. And we see a lot of familiar faces in the Dogami team.

In the main team we see:

Maximilian Stoeckl (CEO)

Kristofer Dayne Penseyres

Bilal El Alamy (CTO) who we know from Tezos-based STO platform Equisafe, & Venture studio PyraTzLabs

Then we see Gregory Magadoux from Owlient (Ubisoft Group) for artistic direction.

Additionally, there are some more advisors and early supporters which will be announced at a later stage.
