Frontier Continues Its Mission For Crypto & DeFi Adoption With Tezos Integration

 Frontier Adds Tezos

With a mission focusing on making crypto and decentralized finance mainstream and giving users a front seat to everything DeFi, Frontier, an intuitive DeFi, Crypto and NFT wallet now supports the Tezos ‌blockchain network ‌alongside 14 other blockchain networks.

Hence, Frontier users can now store, send and receive Tezos native FA tokens using the Frontier app.

Tezos integration on Frontier is timely as the Frontier team continues to make progress per product releases, especially with the V2 release.

Frontier users can create multi-coin wallets and store Tezos-based assets on the Frontier app. Frontier supports FA 1.2 and 2.0 tokens.

FA‌ ‌assets on Tezos are ‌similar‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌ERC-20‌ ‌and‌ ‌ERC-721‌ ‌token‌ ‌standards‌ ‌on‌ ‌Ethereum.‌ Tezos‌ ‌FA‌ 2.0‌ token standard‌ allows‌ ‌support‌ ‌for‌ ‌multiple ‌forms‌ ‌of‌ ‌tokens.‌

The FA1.2‌ ‌tokens are ‌ERC20-like‌ ‌fungible‌ ‌token‌s while‌ ‌FA2‌ ‌supports‌ ‌a‌ ‌wider‌ ‌range‌ ‌of‌ ‌token‌ ‌standards‌ ‌similar‌ ‌to‌ ‌Ethereum’s‌ ‌fungible‌ ‌(ERC20),‌ ‌non-fungible‌ ‌(ERC721),‌ ‌as‌ ‌well‌ ‌as‌ ‌multi-asset‌ ‌contracts‌ ‌(ERC-1155).‌ ‌

As composability is the foundational ethos of DeFi, allowing users access to permissionless protocols and dApps for staking, saving, and lending opportunities from a single interface is essential. But perhaps the more interesting part is when users can access different blockchains like Tezos, Polygon, Avalanche, etc., from a single interface without needing to switch apps or jump many hoops.

This is what Frontier affords DeFi and Crypto growing users. With Tezos now available on Frontier with initial features like storing, sending, and receiving, both communities (Frontier and Tezos) can anticipate more exciting features like DEX, NFTs, and staking opportunities to maximize their yields on Tezos.

The Frontier app on Android and iOS also supports an array of protocols like MakerDAO, Compound Finance, Uniswap, Band Protocol, Synthetix, Kava, dYdX, and Nuo Network. As the industry’s go-to wallet aggregator, Frontier supports multiple mobile wallet applications, such as Trust Wallet, WalletConnect, MetaMask, Fortmatic, and Coinbase wallet.

This latest integration is in line with Frontier’s efforts to increase exposure to Crypto & DeFi, helping reduce the barrier to entry for the sector.
