Ethical Toy Program And Diginex Solutions Utilize Tezos To Create Virtual Supply Chain Monitoring Platform

The Ethical Toy Program

The Ethical Toy Program is a supply chain and logistics initiative coming out of Hong Kong to: 

“…deliver better lives for workers & a stronger industry through the ethical production of toys and children’s products.”

They further describe themselves as:

“an independent non-profit organization working with brands, retailers, and manufacturers to raise ethical standards in the worldwide toy and entertainment industry.”

They were established in 2004 and there are over 1000 factories that are ETP certified, representing 550,000 workers globally.

The ETP “provides monitoring, certification, worker helplines and extensive capacity-building programs to raise ethical standards and help manufacturers drive sustained improvements within their businesses.”

The Ethical Toy Program has featured members including: McDonalds, Walmart, Hallmark, Spinmaster, Argos, Lego and The Walt Disney Company to name but a few.

Diginex Solutions

Diginex Solutions are a divested entity of Diginex. Diginex are a Nasdaq listed ‘cryptocurrency ecosystem’ based out of Singapore, they have 126 employees listed on LinkedIn and were founded in 2017.

Diginex are further described here as:

“…a digital assets financial services company focused on delivering a cryptocurrency and digital assets ecosystem offering innovative product and services that are compliant, fair, and trusted. The group encompasses cryptocurrency exchange EQUOS.io as well as an over-the-counter trading platform. It also offers a front-to-back integrated trading platform Diginex Access, a securitization advisory service Diginex Capital, market-leading hot and cold custodian, Digivault, and funds business Bletchley Park Asset Management. Diginex Solutions, a blockchain company with products in ESG reporting and supply chain management, was divested from Diginex in May 2020.”

Tezos Utilization

In a LinkedIn post Leanne Melnyk, Head of Global Supply Chains at Diginex Solutions announced the partnership between the Ethical Toy Program and Diginex Solutions to:

“…create the #worldsfirst virtual supply chain monitoring platform, which enables better protection of workers in a COVID-19 environment. This platform aims to provide trusted data and business-critical assurance to members.“

Later in the post she talks about Tezos stating:

“We couldn’t have done this without Tezos #blockchain, an open-source platform for assets and applications.”

 Carmel Giblin, CEO and President of the Ethical Toy Program went onto state:

“Ethical Toy Program excited to be working on the development of virtual supply chain monitoring technology. We continue to innovate and invest to meet members needs. We’ll keep you update on our progress. Good to be working with the teams at Diginex and Tezos”.
